«Learning from the past, from history, we were always told, meant securing the future. Perhaps this, the forgetting of our history, has been our collective sin — mine, that of the village where I was born, and that of so many other villages».

Tú no me olvides was born so that this forgetting doesn't happen. It is a platform to document, preserve and share the cultural heritage of the villages of depopulated rural Spain. Every point on the map is a village with a history, with voices that once lived there, and with a memory that deserves to be told.

Tú no me olvides offers an on-site digital guide: a voice that accompanies the traveller, Spanish or international, during their visit to the village, uncovering its points of interest one by one and narrating their peculiarities, anecdotes and secrets. No app to download. No registration. Just scan the QR code and listen.

It doesn't talk about history. It tells stories. Of lives, of memories, of curiosities that turn a walk through a small village into something unique. A whisper that carries you back in time.

But Tú no me olvides isn't only an audioguide. Every locality that joins the project gets a complete tourism website: its points of interest with a page and audioguide, its documented routes, its businesses, and its calendar of festivals and events. All positioned online, so that travellers looking for an authentic destination can find the village before they arrive.

And, finally, something no small village has ever had before: real data about its visitors. Every QR code anonymously logs how many people scan it, when, and where they come from. For the first time, a village with no tourist office can know who is visiting and what interests them.

Because every village has a story that deserves to be told. Tú no me olvides is here to tell it.
